WHAT IS IMPROV?
We certainly use the term “Improv” a lot on this website.
When we do so, we are referring to the staged performance of theatre and/or comedy where actors improvise, or make up, a combination of dialogue, story, characters, movement, objects, scenery, and much more, on stage and in the moment.
Oftentimes, but not always, improvised performances use audience suggestions to influence the production.
You can find more information on WIKIPEDIA.
Improv isn’t always funny. But it is always fun.
DO YOU SELL GROUP TICKETS?
FiiF One-Day Passes are available at a discounted rate for groups of 8 or more.
Just EMAIL us to ask for details on pricing and policies!
WHAT LANGUAGE ARE THE SHOWS AND WORKSHOPS IN?
Even though the Festival takes place in Finland, all FiiF Shows, Workshops, and Events are held in English, as more people speak English than Finnish.
I CAN'T WAIT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Wherever you are in the world, there is bound to be some kind of improv happening near you. There is always some form of an improv class, an improv show, or group of people who get together to have fun.
If you can’t find anything happening near you, then buy, borrow, or download any number of the hundreds of improv books that have been written about improv, invite a few friends to your living room, and play!
You’d be surprised how easy it can be to start your own team, community, or festival!
